Today we’re in Cabarete, Dominican Republic in the heart of the Caribbean and we’re going to a special restaurant to eat seafood and especially some giant Caribbean lobsters!

Wilson La Boca River Restaurant is a very cool spot along the north coast of the Dominican Republic, and they have an eco center as well as a seafood restaurant. You can actually go straight to the lagoon, take a boat across and go straight to the restaurant, but we chose to go the scenic route, by touring the backwaters before arriving at the restaurant.
At the restaurant, you’re greeted by nature, peace and quiet, and plenty of the fresh catch of the day. Everything is cooked in the back over open fire, and there’s no electricity, which is a big bonus.
We had a selection of local fish, lobsters, and of course the giant Caribbean lobsters to top it off!
